4. Returns, Repairs & Replacements
We encourage customers to inspect items carefully at the point of delivery and ensure they match the confirmed order.
4.1 Reporting Faults or Damage If you notice a fault or damage, you must contact the store within 24 hours of delivery. Where necessary, we will arrange inspection and repairs. If the issue cannot be repaired, the item may be replaced (subject to stock availability). If replacement is not possible, a credit voucher of similar value may be issued. This policy does not apply to damage caused by misuse, neglect, accidental damage, or improper handling after delivery.
4.2 Custom-Made Orders Custom-made items are produced based on the customer’s confirmed specifications and approval (including size, fabric, colour, design, and finishing). For this reason, custom-made orders are not eligible for cancellations, returns, or refunds once production has commenced, as they are tailored to individual preferences and cannot be resold as standard stock items. However, if a custom-made item is delivered with a verified manufacturing defect, Jamii Furniture Kenya will inspect the product and, where applicable, arrange repair, adjustment, or replacement in line with our after-sales support policy.
4.3 Mattress Purchases Customers must confirm mattress dimensions (length, width, and height) before purchase. Cancellations for special order mattresses cannot be accepted.
4.4 Sofa Size & Access Responsibility Sofa dimensions are displayed in-store. Customers must confirm that sofas can fit through doors, corridors, and lifts before purchase. We do not accept sofa returns due to access limitations after purchase.
4.5 Order Cancellations Cancellations must be communicated to the store of purchase at least three (3) working days before the scheduled delivery date. Approved cancellations are subject to:
a 10% deduction from the deposit amount
delivery charges being non-refundable if delivery was attempted
4.6 Change of Mind Refunds are generally not issued for change-of-mind purchases. Exchanges or refunds may be considered only where goods are:
faulty and cannot be repaired or replaced,
wrongly described,
significantly different from the sample shown,
not fit for their intended purpose.
